ShipMail is optimized for the maritime satellite environment and allows to offer crew email, compression, and data cost allocation. As an independent satellite solutions provider has the technical and commercial relations with a number of varied satellite operators. Such relations allow us to support different technologies and propose solutions that best meet the needs of our clients. The Vsat services includes the ShipSat service which is critical to control and operate a vessel in terms of crew welfare and operation level. ShipSat is the “Hub” between ship and shore in order to guarantee these services. Navcom operates as systems and networks integrator, and works with different satellite operators to deliver an end to end communications and network capability for vessels at sea. Navcom operates its communications hubs, based on Inmarsat and VSAT technologies.

Satcom Systems :
A number of factors determine the viability of satellite communication onboard and the ability to deliver the bandwidth required for the transfer of data between ship and shore.

Those critical factors are:
* Geographical trading route of the vessel
* Satellite provider coverage area
* Existing VSAT Antenna onboard
* Existing FBB onboard or Iridium Open Port will be supplied as a backup

TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS :

6-) Enhanced Vessel Dashboard :

The vessel dashboard was optimized to accommodate the needs for the captain onboard, attending 3rd party technicians and IT personnel. Based on the access level the user can change configuration onboard, manage the crew users. The support can be contacted for further assistance as well as important documentation and manuals.

We would like to quote the following options for implementing i-Cafe on board of vessels..

* Ku-band coverage please see figure (1).

* Existing VSAT antenna onboard.

* Crew will be accessing ShipSat web portal of and using their own username/password will then logging to internet.

* Unlimited traffic. No Fair Access Policy (FAP).

* Backup option to FBB or IOP/Pilot.

Assumptions : 

* Client will be invoiced monthly for the total monthly subscription. Client is responsible for collecting from crew or deducting usage from wages in case the client wish to charge crew for the internet.

* Voice is excluded from monthly subscriptions rates.

* All Hardware and Software below are needed for complete internet package.

During the phases of maintenance and installation, VSAT iDirect platform features GUI-based iSite software that greatly simplifies these processes and allows the system administrator to 

configure and observe remotes on both RF and IP levels.
